Something new for the Adele fans, but these days I think all artists need some kind of addiction to keep them going.

There’s a revelation about Adele in Marc Shapiro’s Adele: The Biography.

Apparently, the 24-year-old singer struggled with alcohol addiction and at one point, it was so severe that she would perform on stage visibly intoxicated. According to In Touch, Adele told Shapiro in an interview, “I got so drunk by the time I went on at 2 AM that I forgot the words to my own songs.” The bio goes on to detail her alleged drinking problem halfway through her first tour, supposedly caused by the heartbreak that catapulted her into stardom.
