#redbullflugtag at Waterfront CT

This weekend I went to see what the redbullflugtag was all about.
It all started back in 1992 when Redbull decided it would be a cool marketing campaign getting the public involved to create their own "airoplane" or should I say self-propelled "thingemegig with wings", then get them to jump of a 6meter platform and see how far you can glide before falling into the ocean. 
200 000 spectators and 41 teams...
Needless to say it is not about who beats the world record of 69meters, but rather about the team spirit and how awesome and funny some of those "ufo's" really are.
The endless creativity displayed, combined with the engineering of a mad scientist with a jigsaw is a dangerous combination, but a must see.
I am sure that allot of you also attended the event on Sunday, burning to a crisp and ending up looking like a lobster.
I stood my ground fighting the summer sun for 7h before eventually giving in and leave my spot to have a cold beer.
It was worth it.

Lady Gaga Concert and she went wild on her SA Safari

Lady Gaga Concert will probably be amazing tonight. Fortunately I have some biltong at home, so I will not be going to the Cape Town concert.

On Friday Gaga became the first solo female artist to perform a concert at the FNB Stadium, putting on a two and half hour concert for approximately 65 000 screaming fans. 
At one point during her Johannesburg show, Gaga told the crowd: "I am not an alien, I am not a woman, I am not a man, I am not a creature of your government, South Africa. I am you!"
The controversial singer has been the subject of protests by the South African Council of Churches who marched to the department of Arts and Culture in Pretoria, saying they are worried about the "destructive impact" Lady Gaga can have on South Africa's youth.

I wonder what will she be wearing on stage in Cape Town?

After her Safari game drive last week, I think she decided to leave the meat dress at home.

Lady Gaga shared pics on Twitter of her roaming with lions while on safari in South Africa, and raved about her experience performing in Johannesburg.
The 26-year-old pop queen is in South Africa for her first tour here and showed her wild side by getting close to a pride of lions in the wild.
"SAFARI PICTURE: in this photo I'm about 10 feet from 13 lions, 2 cubs. I spent about 30 minutes w them and took a nap!" she tweeted on Saturday.
In the pic, Gaga – whose real name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta – can be seen wearing a sunhat with the top removed to accommodate her high ponytail.
"& yes I cut a hole in my bush hat so my pony could stick out," she later told her nearly 32 million followers. "#SafariBarbie #Glambi my scarf was a gift from the Princess of Monaco, thanku!"

My 1962 Porsche Project OR 1980's Cafe Racer Project

For too long have my Porsche been standing, not doing anything to it since winter started. Undercover, shame. 
I started stripping it to restore it from the chassis up. 
Obviously it is a bit difficult to find suppliers here in Cape Town for some custom parts I need, looks like JHB is the place to get them from.
So after stripping it to about 90% and working my way up again, and then again stripping the wiring out and getting rid of the non SABS windscreen, winter started. Always something more to do.

It is now at 90% complete again. And as I said ... for a good couple of months just standing under cover.
Now I want to strip it down again and do a proper job, but "APPARENTLY" I am not allowed to work on my car where I live. I guess I need a double garage where I can make lots of noise. :(
Now I am a bit stuck and don't know if I should keep it or sell it and start working on something new.

If I keep it, it will have tostand for a year or two and just move onto something smaller for now. Like a 1980's cafe racer.
Small enough to work on and I do not need x2 bays for working.
x2 Friends of mine have the same idea and I've been doing some research and found the donor bike I want and what it will look like when finished.
