Ke$ha's “New tattoo!”  takes the cake.

The singer proclaimed on Instagram, displaying both her new “Suck It!” inner lip tattoo and what appears to be a gold toof. While we need some time to wrap our heads around why and to what purpose Ke$ha would get the inside of her mouth inked (Is it a command? To whom? Is it a reminder? It’s a reminder, isn’t it?), we only needed to see the photo for a millisecond to crown her queen of the bad celebrity tattoos, joining the likes of Gucci Mane‘s ice cream cone face ink and Hayden Panettiere‘s misspelled torso tattoo.

Oldest DJ system in the world 1910. For Real!

THE GAUMONT CHRONOPHONE SYSTEM: 1910

In 1903 French engineer Leon Gaumont was granted patents for loudspeaker systems to go with his sound on disc talking films, which used one of Berliner’s Gramophones.

In 1910 Gaumont demonstrated his Chronophone system, which synchronised sound and film, at the Gaumont Palace in Paris. The compressed-air amplifier, which he called the Eglephone, was just a part of the whole system. The volume was enough for an audience of 4000. Initially the longest moving picture that could be made with synchronised sound was only 200ft, due to the limited playing time of the Gramophone record. (Projection was at 16 frames per second) Gaumont surmounted this problem by having two gramophone platters; a deft operator could switch between them to give a more or less continuous soundtrack. 

And that was the start of the DJ system.

Cops probe man who cooked his genitals.

Remember the guy that served his Penis to paying diners?
Well, his in the news again.

Tokyo police are investigating whether a man who cooked his own severed genitals and served them to five paying diners committed a crime.

Mao Sugiyama had his penis and testicles surgically removed in March and kept them frozen for two months before cooking them at a public event in May.

Diners each paid 20 000 yen ($250) for a portion.
The police probe came after the mayor of Suginami ward, the Tokyo district where the event took place, said it had involved the display of obscene objects.

“Many residents of Suginami and elsewhere have expressed a sense of discomfort and feeling of apprehension over this,” Mayor Ryo Tanaka said in a statement on Monday.
A Tokyo police spokeswoman acknowledged the complaint, but declined to give further details, citing “an ongoing investigation”.

Sugiyama, a painter in his 20s who defines himself as “asexual”, did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
In an email to AFP in May, he confirmed the event had taken place and said it was organised to raise awareness about “sexual minorities, x-gender, asexual people”.

In tweets on May 18, the artist said steps were taken so his act met all relevant laws, including a ban on organ sales, processing of medical waste and even food sanitation requirements.

Cape Town to get new name?

You can guess what my feeling is when it comes to renaming streets & names of Towns.I am sure that most of you will agree that it is just a waste of time & taxpayers money.
Who gives a ... what it was called before 1652?
Below is the article I found about changing the name of Cape Town to Hui !Gaeb.
This is not the first time I have heard this.

Cape Town is set to get a new name this week, courtesy of the local Khoisan community – and Nando’s is sponsoring billboards to advertise it.

“We will be putting up the boards for all to see, and if they’re taken down or vandalised, we will not retaliate. Instead, we will just keep replacing them,” Tania Kleinhans, of the Institute for the Restoration of the Aborigines of SA, said during a ceremony at the Castle of Good Hope yesterday.

And the city’s new name?

//Hui !Gaeb, a Khoisan name meaning “where clouds gather”.

Yesterday’s event, which inc-luded a ceremony to honour Oom Dawid Kruiper, the San leader who died on June 13 in an Upington hospital, called for the renaming, saying it was in recognition of the Khoisan history.

On how Nando’s got involved, Kleinhans explained that she approached the company after seeing the fast food chain’s controversial diversity TV ad.

“We love the advert, because it is based on facts. It is not about racism, xenophobia or diversity. It shows that we are the original people of SA,” she said.
Nando’s was quick to offer its support, so from next week expect to see billboards announcing the city’s “new name” on the N2 and outside the Castle in the city centre.

During a wreath-laying ceremony yesterday, about 50 people paid tribute to Kruiper, who died at 71, and the community’s leaders spoke of concern the Khoisan be nationally recognized.
